Dr. Nate Porcher
Dr. Nate Porcher is a chiropractor in Arlington Heights. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the National University of Health Sciences (Lombard, IL) with a Doctor of Chiropractic Medicine (D.C.), and as the Salutatorian of his class.
He has also recorded hundreds of hours of certified post-graduate level continuing education in P-DTR (Proprioceptive Deep Tendon Reflex, Active Release Techniques (ART), Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT) “Be Activated” Muscle Activation, Motion Palpation Technique, Functional Assessment, Treatment, and Rehabilitation, Functional Movement Systems (FMS), Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization Technique (DNS), and is Certified in Dry Needling through the American Academy of Manipulative Therapy.
He is the only registered full-body certified provider of Active Release Techniques (ART), as well as the only Level 3 Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT) provider in Arlington Heights, IL, a member of the Illinois Chiropractic Society, and the Christian Chiropractors Association.
His work in a literature review of sports-related concussions, titled A Narrative Review of Sports-Related Concussion and Return-To-Play Testing With Asymptomatic Athletes was published in the December 2013 issue of the Journal of Chiropractic Medicine. He was also published in a literature review on the effects of a dynamic warmup on athletic performance in 2014 in the journal of the ACA Rehab Council.
He received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology in 2008 from Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL. He also attended Taylor University for the first half of his undergraduate studies in Upland, Indiana.
As an athlete, Dr. Porcher was an All-American in Track & Field at Taylor for the 4x400m relay and was also a varsity letterman in football at both Taylor and Trinity. He was also a varsity letterman in baseball at Trinity. After college, he spent 5 seasons playing in the Midwest Suburban League, a men’s amateur baseball league and was a 2-time League All-Star.
In his first year of practice, he also worked at the Ballpark in Mount Prospect as a hitting and fielding instructor.
He is currently the team chiropractor for Fremd Football and has also worked with the football, track & field, and cross country teams at various D214 and D211 schools, locally.
He and his wife, Nicole, and daughters, Holly, Melody, and Roxy live in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago and are active in their local church.
