Chiropractic Manipulation

Most everyone who walks through the door into our office is looking for a long-term solution, not just a short-term patch-up job to their problems. What many of them don’t realize is that, just like you can’t get the body you always wanted in three weeks of diet and exercise (especially after years of unhealthy choices or a sedentary lifestyle) spinal rehabilitation and remodeling is a process that takes quality time and repetition as well. While spinal curve correction or remodeling isn’t the goal of every single case, we ALWAYS strive to correct movement dysfunction in the spine.

A lot of prospective patients think that we’re back and neck doctors, but really–we’re nerve doctors. Our job is to ensure that, with our techniques and treatments, your nerves are happy and healthy, and that the bones in your spine are no longer putting pressure on them. When the bones in your neck or back have become stuck and not moving normally, or are slightly out of position/alignment, this puts pressure on the nerves.

Pressure on nerves can manifest in various ways. What might surprise you is that referred pain down a leg, or numbness/tingling in a hand is not the most common manifestation of these problems. In fact, what we see most often are muscles that are turned off (and others compensating for them), muscles out of balance, and joints that don’t work properly, often leading to injury or pain somewhere other than the spine.

With static as well as MOVEMENT x-rays, we are able to identify exactly where those nerve problems are and formulate a plan to get them corrected as quickly as possible.

Corrective Chiropractic care is geared towards changing the movement and position of your spine, and not only makes major improvements in your symptoms but also leads to permanent structural changes to your spine and how your nervous system works.

In nearly all cases, we take the same X-rays at the end of your treatment plan. Not only do we see major improvements in your symptoms, but the X-rays look much better too.
